Based in North Berwick we benefit from access to beautiful beaches in the heart of the community.

Exploring our community we visit parks, lodge grounds, local care homes, the library and natural wooded areas.

Pumpkin Patch Nursery is in partnership with East Lothian Council to provide 3-5 year old funding.
At Pumpkin Patch Nursery in North Berwick, we are proud to have a Green Travel Plan in place with East Lothian Council, to support a cleaner, safer environment for our children, families, and local community. We actively encourage families to walk, cycle, or use public transport wherever possible.
To help reduce congestion and improve safety around the nursery, we operate a parking exclusion zone directly outside the setting and surrounding areas. Parking for drop-off and pick-up at the setting is only permitted at the Glebe Street car park, which is a short walk away.
We appreciate your support in following these arrangements and helping us promote sustainable travel habits for the benefit of everyone.

I have been in childcare for 23 years and became Manager of Pumpkin Patch in June 2016. I am currently working towards a PDA Childhood Practice.

I have a strong passion for early years and early childcare education. I have worked within childcare since I was 14, it is my passion.
Lovely nursery. Both our kids have been very happy here, and youngest still goes 2 days per week. They take the kids on lots of outdoor trips around the town (park, beach, harbour, library) and there's a nicely done little garden to play in. Staff are caring and because the nursery is small they all get to know the kids really well. Highly recommended.
The staff are interested in the child's development and know each child and their needs extremely well. As a parent of one cautious introvert and one exuberant extrovert, it's been a joy to see the team support each child with their own learning needs. Varied activities which are predominantly nature-based have been fab (I even learned a little something about the life cycle of frogs).
Finally, the management is wonderful, clear communication, knows the families extremely well and obviously loves early years development!
Love, learning and family all in one place! We recognise the incredible value grandparents bring to children’s lives. Our nursery is proud to offer opportunities for grandparents to join our team (T&Cs apply).
If you are passionate about supporting children and would like to be a part of an experienced nursery team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
